343 Ha Tikvah “ The Hope”
Pretty much all countries have a national anthem. A song that speaks about that countries diliverence into its own state. The United States speaks of bombs bursting in air and a flag still standing there. A victory of war over an earthly king. To live as a free people to worship God in spirit and in truth. The national anthem of Israel is far different than any other nation in the world, it is called Ha Tikvah “The Hope” תּקוה tiqvâh BDB Definition: cord, hope, expectation, things hoped for, outcome.
Eze 37:11 Then he said to me, " Son of man! These bones are the whole house of Isra'el; and they are saying, 'Our bones have dried up, our hope is gone, and we are completely cut off.'
The Tikvah “hope” was gone from the people of Israel for a long time. This scripture was written 2600 years ago. For 2000 years there was no Israel. There was no home land for the chosen people. Many people laughed at them. Many people persecuted them in all the other lands they had gone to. Many people laughed at their God. And for many of the Jewish people they had no idea why they were being persecuted, their Tikvah was gone. This message is about TIKVAH “hope” when you think there is nothing left to do. When all hope seems gone. There are the promises of Adonai. As we see from this Ezekiel scripture it took almost 2600 years but it did come true. Our job is to hold onto TIKVAH the hope in our God when the foundations seem to be crumbling all around us.
