544 The MAJORS & The MINORS

1 Yochanan 5:1-21

 

SYNOPSIS: Getting whipped by Yehovah is not something that I desire once I get to heaven. There is more to salvation then just saying yes to Messiah. There is work that each and every person must do in their own lives to obtain the ultimate goal…Heaven. In 1 Yochanan chapter 5 a very deep teaching is given by a person very close to the Word. See how important to your eternal soul this teaching is when we fully understand The Majors and The Minors.

 

SECTION 1:THE DEEP MEANING OF ANTONYMS. For loving God means obeying his commands. Moreover, his commands are not burdensome, A man who was a true student of the Word wrote these words to a baby Messianic Congregation. Truly profound words. When we delve further into the Hebraic understanding of this verse we will see something incredible. This incredible understanding is needed for eternity. All the Hebrew Scriptures have multiple levels of need understanding. One of the “Golden Nuggets” we will discover in section one is antonyms and there profound meanings in Hebrew thought process.

 

SECTION 2: The MAJORS & The MINORS. The Main focus of this message is the following two verses 1Jn 5:16  If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not lead to death, he will ask; and God will give him life for those whose sinning does not lead to death. There is sin that does lead to death; I am not saying he should pray about that. 1Jn 5:17  All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death. If there is sin that does not lead to death, is there sin that leads to deal and Sh’ol? We will find out in The Majors, Play ball!!!

THE MAIN FOCUS OF THE MESSAGE IS THESE TWO VERSES

1Jn 5:16  If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not lead to death, he will ask; and God will give him life for those whose sinning does not lead to death. Ref: 1Pe 2:9  But you are a chosen people, the King's cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

1. a system of moral principles: the ethics of a culture.

2.the rules of conduct recognized in respect toa particular class of human actions or a particular group, culture, etc.

3. that branch of philosophy dealing withvalues relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness andwrongness of certain actions and to the goodness and badness of themotives and ends of such actions.

Mat 22:36  "Rabbi, which of the mitzvot in the Torah is the most important?"

Mat 22:37  He told him, " 'You are to love Yehovah your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.'

Mat 22:38  This is the greatest and most important mitzvah.

COMMAND ARE NOT BURDENSOME

1Jn 5:3  For loving God means obeying his commands. Moreover, his commands are not burdensome, 1Jn 5:4  because everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our trust.

D’varim 4:6-8 “UTTER BRILLIANCE”

Deu 4:6  Therefore, observe them; and follow them; for then all peoples will see you as having wisdom and understanding. When they hear of all these laws, they will say, 'This great nation is surely a wise and understanding people.‘ Deu 4:7  For what great nation is there that has God as close to them as Adonai our God is, whenever we call on him? Deu 4:8  What great nation is there that has laws and rulings as just as this entire Torah which I am setting before you today?

THREE WITNESSES: SPIRIT, WATER, BLOOD

1Jn 5:7  There are three witnesses — 1Jn 5:8  the Spirit, the water and the blood — and these three are in agreement. 1Jn 5:9  If we accept human witness, God's witness is stronger, because it is the witness which God has given about his Son

 

Gen 1:2  The earth was unformed and void, darkness was on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God hovered over the surface of the water.

 

Sh’mot 35:20-21 “Spirit willing”

Exo 35:20  Then the whole community of the people of Isra'el withdrew from Moshe's presence; Exo 35:21  and they came, everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit made him willing, and brought Adonai's offering for the work on the tent of meeting, for the service in it and for the holy garments.

Exo 4:9  But if they aren't persuaded even by both these signs and still won't listen to what you say, then take some water from the river, and pour it on the ground. THE MAJORS

 

#1 BLASPHEME

Mar 3:28  Yes! I tell you that people will be forgiven all sins and whatever blasphemies they utter; Mar 3:29  however, someone who blasphemes against the Ruach HaKodesh never has forgiveness but is guilty of an eternal sin."

 

#2 COMING AGAINST THE LEADERSHIP WHILE UNDER THERE COVERING

B’midbar 16:30-32

Num 16:30  But if Adonai does something new — if the ground opens up and swallows them with everything they own, and they go down alive to Sh'ol — then you will understand that these men have had contempt for Adonai." Num 16:31  The moment he finished speaking, the ground under them split apart —Num 16:32  the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up with their households, all the people who had sided with Korach and everything they owned.

 

 

#3 ABOMINATIONS

Lev 18:22  " 'You are not to go to bed with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination

 

#4 PRACTICING PAGAN RELIGION

#5 HAVING STATUES AND GREED

Deu 7:25  You are to burn up completely the carved statues of their gods. Don't be greedy for the silver or gold on them; don't take it with you, or you will be trapped by it; for it is abhorrent to Adonai your God.

 

#6 THE CHRISTMAS TREE

Deu 7:26  Don't bring something abhorrent into your house, or you will share in the curse that is on it; instead, you are to detest it completely, loathe it utterly; for it is set apart for destruction.

 

#7 KOSHER

Deu 14:3  "You are not to eat anything disgusting.

 

#8 SACRIFICE THE BEST

Deu 17:1  "You are not to sacrifice to Adonai your God a cow or sheep that has a defect or anything wrong with it; that would be an abomination to Adonai your God.

 

#9 WOMEN WEARING TZITZI

Deu 22:5  "A woman is not to wear men's clothing, and a man is not to put on women's clothing, for whoever does these things is detestable to Adonai your God.

 

#10 PROSTITUTION

Deu 23:18  Nothing earned through heterosexual or homosexual prostitution is to be brought into the house of Adonai your God in fulfillment of any vow, for both of these are abhorrent to Adonai your God.

 

#11 UNFAIR JUDGES

Deu 25:15  You are to have a correct and fair weight, and you are to have a correct and fair measure, so that you will prolong your days in the land Adonai your God is giving you. Deu 25:16  For all who do such things, all who deal dishonestly, are detestable to Adonai your God.

 

#12 WITCHCRAFT/ SANTERIA/ TAROT CARD/ HARRY POTTER

Deu 18:10  There must not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through fire, a diviner, a soothsayer, an enchanter, a sorcerer, Deu 18:11  a spell-caster, a consulter of ghosts or spirits, or a necromancer. Deu 18:12  For whoever does these things is detestable to Adonai, and because of these abominations Adonai your God is driving them out ahead of you.

 

#13 ADULTERY

Lev_20:10  'If there is a man who commits adultery with another man's wife, one who commits adultery with his friend's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

 

#14 BRIT HADASHA

Rev 21:8  But as for the cowardly, the untrustworthy, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those involved with the occult and with drugs, idol-worshippers, and all liars — their destiny is the lake burning with fire and sulfur, the second death."

 

#15 BLASPHEME

Rev 22:15  Outside are the homosexuals, those involved with the occult and with drugs, the sexually immoral, murderers, idol-worshippers, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

 

DISCERNMENT TO KNOW WHO IS GENUINE

1Jn 5:20  And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us discernment, so that we may know who is genuine; moreover, we are united with the One who is genuine, united with his Son Yeshua the Messiah. He is the genuine God and eternal life.

GUARD AGAINST FALSE THINGS

1Jn 5:21  Children, guard yourselves against false gods!

 

Guard G5442 φυλάσσω phulassō  Thayer Definition: 1) to guard 2) to watch, keep watch 3) to guard a person (or thing) that he may remain safe 4) to protect one from a person or thing 5) to keep from being snatched away, preserve safe and unimpaired 6) to guard for one’s self (i.e. for one’s safety’s sake) so as not to violate, i.e. to keep, observe (the precepts of the Mosaic law)
