559 A Good Name
Revelation 20:7-15
SYNOPSIS: One of the things most lost in this world is integrity and a good name. In the past people used to be very careful about how their family name was viewed by others. With the loss of fear of Yehovah so comes the loss of the meaning of a good name. We are spiritual beings and have a soul and if you don’t believe that, you truly are and ignoramus. Now for those that are not ignoramus’ we see something in the book of Revelation chapter 20 that should scare most people into desiring a good name. In verse 12 of chapter 20 it says books were opened. Then the book of life. What are those books? How does it tie together with “A Good Name”?
SECTION 1: NAME IN THE BOOK. In this section we are going to bounce back and forth between the two testaments. We are going to look at the lake of fire. The thousand year reign. Most of all is we are going to learn what it speaks about in Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, both great and small, standing in front of the throne. Books were opened; and another book was opened, the Book of Life; What is the first set of books?
SECTION 2: YOUR NAME AND EVERLASTING SOMETHING. Being Born again is not a new concept found in the Brit HaDasha. Dying for your own sins is actually spoken about at great length through the prophet Ezekiel. In section two we are going to look at this entire chapter of life giving information. Information that shows us how to stop the corruption and break away from the corrupted family and world to get “A Good Name” to Yehovah. For He is the only one that really matters.
