698 satan’s plan,
THE THREE PILLARS OF DESTRUCTION. Part 2
Scripture: Shoftim (Judges) 21:25 RIGHT IN HIS OWN EYES
SYNOPSIS: Alexis De Tocqueville—a Frenchman who authored Democracy in America in the early 1800s wrote: "It was not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her success. America is great because she is righteous, and if America ceases to be righteous and good, America will cease to be great." What are the three pillars that America, or for that fact, any nation ceases to be great? The evil one knows if he destroys the pulpit. That evil will destroy the family. And that evil will destroy the schools. Three pillars; Pulpit, Family, Schools. In this HaShabbat lesson we are going to look at the three parts of the “Pulpit”. We will study the Book of Shoftim (Judges). Then take the knowledge and apply it to Aharon’ catastrophic failure. A failure that cost him his two sons and entrance into the Promised Land.
LESSON 1: PULPIT. “Know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles you will never be in peril” Sun Tzu. Shoftim (Judges) 21:25 RIGHT IN HIS OWN EYES. B’resheet (Gen) 6:1-6 MOST PEOPLE FOCUS ON THE WRONG THING. Shoftim (Judges) 21:25. D’varim (Deut) 16:18-20 Justice, only justice, you must pursue. Shoftim (Judges) 21:25. Shoftim (Judges) 2:11-13 Isra'el did what was evil from Yehovah's perspective. D’varim (Deut) 13:3-10 this is what should have happened but satan was allowed to steal the pulpit. Shoftim (Judges) 2:12-13. Shoftim (Judges) 3:4-11 Now they become unevenly yoked in marriage. Shoftim (Judges) 3:12-14 Now because you don’t want to follow the ten I wll give you ten more than before. Shoftim (Judges) 10:6-8 YEHOVAH’S anger blazes for now it is not 2 gods but 7
LESSON 2: THREE PARTS OF THE PULPIT; COHANIM, JUDGES, MAGISTRATE. MOST IMPORTANT IS WHAT? WHY IS THIS THE MOST IMPORTANT? Sh’mot (EX) 32:1-29 When the pulpit fails people die. Each verse.

The Judges were to bring the people back to God, but the chorus of this book is that Israel again does what is evil in the sight of the Lord (2:11, 3:7, 3:12, 4:1, 6:1, 10:6, 13:1).
Shoftim (Judges) 2:11-13 Isra'el did what was evil from Yehovah's perspective
Jdg 2:11 Then the people of Isra'el did what was evil from Yehovah's perspective and served the ba`alim. Jdg 2:12 They abandoned Yehovah, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, selected from the gods of the peoples around them, and worshipped them; this made Yehovah angry. Jdg 2:13 They abandoned Yehovah and served Ba`al and the `ashtarot
Baal was the name of the supreme god worshiped in ancient Canaan and Phoenicia. The practice of Baal worship infiltrated Jewish religious life during the time of the Judges (Judges 3:7) Baal was considered the most powerful of all gods. The Canaanites worshiped Baal as the sun god and as the storm god—he is usually depicted holding a lightning bolt—who defeated enemies and produced crops. They also worshiped him as a fertility god who provided children.

Deu 13:3 you are not to listen to what that prophet or dreamer says. For Yehovah your God is testing you, in order to find out whether you really do love Yehovah your God with all your heart and being.

Baal’s sisters/consorts were Ashtoreth, a fertility goddess associated with the stars, and Anath, a goddess of love and war. Baal worship was rooted in sensuality and involved ritualistic prostitution in the temples. At times, appeasing Baal required human sacrifice. Jezebel made Asherah-worship even more prevalent, with 400 prophets of Asherah on the royal payroll (1 Kings 18:19).
Shoftim (Judges) 3:4-11 Now they become unevenly yoked in marriage
Jdg 3:4 They stayed there to test whether Isra'el would pay attention to the mitzvot of Yehovah, which, through Moshe, he had ordered their ancestors to obey.

Shoftim (Judges) 10:6-8 YEHOVAH’S anger blazes for now it is not 2 gods but 7
Jdg 10:6 Again the people of Isra'el did what was evil from Yehovah's perspective — they served the ba`alim, the `ashtarot, the gods of Aram, the gods of Tzidon, the gods of Mo'av, the gods of the people of `Amon and the gods of the P'lishtim. They abandoned Yehovah and did not serve him;
