999 A new creation must walk in

biblical spirit and truth

 

BIBLE: Yochanan (Jn) 47-24 Spirit & truth.

 

SYNOPSIS: Today’s lesson is going to focus on three topics. What does it mean to walk in spirit and truth? We are going to deeply look at the biblical understanding of those two words. Third topic is what does it mean to become a new creation in MESSIAH YESHUA? Can you still worship like you used to? Can you even think like you used to? If you have become this new creation will the tests get any easier? What happened to the Cohen HaGadol “High Priest” when his test came? Did he go right back into the old programing of tell a lie first then think? What if YESHUA told you the big test was coming. He even told you what was the answer you would give. And that answer would be bad and wrong. Now the test comes, would you pass the test? Or would you revert to you old pagan ways? Today we are going learn how a new creation should act in spirit and truth.

Yochanan (Jn) 4:7-24. Sh’mot (Ex) 32:18-24 we thought he was a new creation but failed the test during stress. Mattiyahu (Mat) 26:69-75 failed the test, was not a new creation yet. Yirmeyahu (Jer) 18:1-11 That is the hardware not the software.

WORSHIP: G4352 προσκυνέω proskuneō  Thayer Definition: 1) to kiss the hand to (towards) one, in token of reverence 2) to fall upon the knees and touch the ground with the forehead as an expression of profound reverence. From G4314 and probably a derivative of G2965 (meaning to kiss, like a dog licking his master’s hand); to fawn or crouch to, that is, (literally or figuratively) prostrate oneself in homage (do reverence to, adore): - worship.

Gen 22:5  Avraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey. I and the boy will go there, worship and return to you."

Gen 22:6  Avraham took the wood for the burnt offering and laid it on Yitz'chak his son. Then he took in his hand the fire and the knife, and they both went on together.

Gen 22:7  Yitz'chak spoke to Avraham his father: "My father?" He answered, "Here I am, my son." He said, "I see the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?" 

 

WORSHIP: H7812 שׁחה shâchâh BDB Definition: 1) to bow down 2) to depress (figuratively) 3) to bow down, prostrate oneself

 

Sh’mot (Ex) 3:11-12 To worship ELOHIM is our job.

Exo 3:11  Moshe said to God, "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and lead the people of Isra'el out of Egypt?"

Exo 3:12  He replied, "I will surely be with you. Your sign that I have sent you will be that when you have led the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain." 

 

WORSHIP: H5647 עבד ‛âbad BDB Definition: 1) to work, serve, to labor 2) to work for another, serve another by labor 3) to serve as subjects 4) to serve (with Levitical service)

 

Joh 4:24 

 

SPIRITUALLY/SPIRIT: G4151 πνεῦμα pneuma Thayer Definition: 1) the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal with the Father and the Son 2) a life giving spirit 3) the disposition or influence which fills and governs the soul of any one 4) breath of nostrils or mouth

TRUTH: G225 ἀλήθεια alētheia Thayer Definition: 1) what is true in things appertaining to God and the duties of man, moral and religious truth 2) the truth as taught respecting God and the execution of his purposes through MESSIAH, and respecting the duties of man, opposing alike to the superstitions of the Gentiles.

Sh’mot (Ex) 32:18-24 we thought he was a new creation but failed the test during stress.

Exo 32:18  He answered, "That is neither the clamor of victory nor the wailings of defeat; what I hear is the sound of people singing." Exo 32:19  But the moment Moshe got near the camp, when he saw the calf and the dancing, his own anger blazed up. He threw down the tablets he had been holding and shattered them at the base of the mountain. Exo 32:20  Seizing the calf they had made, he melted it in the fire and ground it to powder, which he scattered on the water. Then he made the people of Isra'el drink it. Exo 32:21  Moshe said to Aharon, "What did these people do to you to make you lead them into such a terrible sin?" Exo 32:22  Aharon replied, "My lord shouldn't be so angry. You know what these people are like, that they are determined to do evil Exo 32:23  So they said to me, 'Make us gods to go ahead of us; because this Moshe, the man that brought us up from the land of Egypt—we don't know what has become of him.' Exo 32:24  I answered them, 'Anyone with gold, strip it off!' So they gave it to me. I threw it in the fire, and out came this calf!"

Mattiyahu (Mat) 26:69-75 failed the test, was not a new creation yet.

Mat 26:69  Kefa was sitting outside in the courtyard when a servant girl came up to him. "You too were with Yeshua from the Galil," she said.

Mat 26:70  But he denied it in front of everyone—"I don't know what you're talking about!"

Mat 26:71  He went out onto the porch, and another girl saw him and said to the people there, "This man was with Yeshua of Natzeret."

Mat 26:72  Again he denied it, swearing, "I don't know the man!"

Mat 26:73  After a little while, the bystanders approached Kefa and said, "You must be one of them—your accent gives you away."

Mat 26:74  This time he began to invoke a curse on himself as he swore, "I do not know the man!"—and immediately a rooster crowed.

Mat 26:75  Kefa remembered what Yeshua had said, "Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times"; and he went outside and cried bitterly.
