P102 Yom Kippur (overview)
Lev 16:1 Adonai spoke with Moshe after the death of Aharon's two sons, when they tried to sacrifice before Adonai and died;
Lev 16:2 Adonai said to Moshe, "Tell your brother Aharon not to come at just any time into the Holy Place beyond the curtain, in front of the ark-cover which is on the ark, so that he will not die; because I appear in the cloud over the ark-cover.
Then Yehovah said to Moshe, “Tell your brother Aaron that he shall not enter at any time into the holy place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, or he will die; for I will appear in the cloud over the mercy seat.” Why did Yehovah say that, why can’t we go at anytime? Is this still for today? Is Yom Kippur different today now that Yeshua has come or is it even more special? The lessons we learn on Yom Kippur teach us about the distance between man and our King. How are there transgressions we have against Yehovah that are different then our transgression against man? The heart of man contains a deadly conceit. It is the idea that "I'm generally a pretty decent person. God isn't really that upset with my sin." OH really…where is that in the scriptures? This mini message is an overview of the Holiest day of Yehovah’s calendar. Yom Kippur and yes this holy day is to be celebrated by all people called by His name.
